“Brews at the Zoo” for Miller Park Zoo is making some changes this year, but it’s GOOD changes!

Four Local Breweries are creating limited edition beers to raise money for Miller Park Zoo and will use photos of the animals on the labels!

Since this years “Brews at the Zoo” even can not happen due to guidelines setup by the Illinois Reopening Plan, the powers at be got together and put their brains to work on how they could still hold a similar event and raise money for the zoo. Over the past few years, hundreds of people have attended the event, and last year they had a record number of 600 attendees. Obviously this year there is no way that having that many people at the zoo is an option, so the idea for “Brews FOR the Zoo” was born.

Destihl, Keg Grove, Lil Beaver and White Oak Brewery are partnering to create a series of limited edition beers that feature animals from the Miller Park Zoo. and will also create custom labels featuring the animals with a portion of the sales being donated to the Miller Park Zoological Society.

So, how do you get the beers?

Well, the animals that were chosen and the brews they will be matched with will be unveiled weekly, starting July 31st with a launch event at Keg Grove Brewing Company.

Here is the list of locations and dates for the special unveilings.

Keg Grove Brewing Company – July 31st

White Oak Brewing – August 7th

Lil Beaver Brewery – August 14th

Dehstihl Brewery – August 21st

For launch times you can check Miller Park Zoo’s facebook page or online at mpzs.org/events.

The brews may also be available at other locations, so keep checking back for details. This is a huge event for the local breweries in town and for Miller Park Zoo, so let’s show our support!
