Every Summer we look forward to CMA Fest in Nashville, and later watch the highlights on TV, but unfortunately that isn’t happening this year.
CMA Fest is a 3 day country music festival where 100’s of artists perform and thousands and thousands of fans show up to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars. Many people head to Nashville for the big event up close and in person, for the rest of us, we wait for the 3 hour TV special of the best performances and biggest moments of that year’s fest. With the annual festival canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it looks like the Country Music Association still has something up their sleeves for fans…
July 9th, Luke Bryan will host the CMA Best of Fest TV special, which I’m sure you can gather from the name, is a 3 hour special of more than 25 of the greatest performances from past CMA Fests…The festival has been around since 1972, so I wonder if they will give us some classic performances as well.
Looking at the lineup and some of the stars on it, it’s entirely possible!
But that’s not the only surprise…
Ahead of the special, on July 1, Jimmie Allen and Lindsay Ell will host an event on the CMA’s YouTube and Facebook channels called, CMA Summer Stay-Cay, which will feature more than 50 country artists performing, answering questions from fans in Q&A’s, playing games and more! That lineup still hasn’t been finalized and released.
Here is the lineup for the CMA Best of Fest, July 9th at 7pm CST on ABC.
