Sad news for Kelly Clarkson, she announced yesterday she has filed for divorce.

Kelly filed for divorce from her husband Brandon Blackstock after 7 years of marriage. The couple have 2 kids, 5 year old River, and 4 year old Remington. Kelly cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce filing and wants joint legal and physical custody of their 2 kids, and she has asked that her legal name be changed back to Clarkson.

As you may know, Brandon is also her manager. It is clear if he will remain her manager after the divorce. Kelly is asking the courts to terminate the ability to award spousal support to Brandon, and she is also asking the courts to enforce the prenup.

Kelly and Brandon went to Montana during quarantine hoping that being away from Los Angeles would bring them closer together, but sources say being in close quarters constantly made Clarkson realize divorce was her only option.
