Dave Haywood of Lady Antebellum is ready to get back together with his band-mates and get back in front of fans.
Just like the rest of us, country music stars are missing their “normal lives” and people they usually see on a regular basis. For Dave, he has missed being within arms reach with his fellow members of Lady Antebellum during quarantine.
“I don’t think I realized how much I miss day-to-day life with Charles [Kelley] and Hillary [Scott]. I’m not trying to be cheesy, but it’s probably the longest time in our entire career that we haven’t been together for. And so, you know, we’re all trying to stay connected through the Internet and through technology. But I just can’t wait to give them a big old hug when this is all over.”
The country music singer-songwriter also misses seeing the faces of the fans while performing on stage.
“I think I just miss face-to-face connection with the fans. I just want to be at a show on stage where I can high five Charles and Hillary, we’re playing our music together, and you can look down and see those first few rows of people singing along face-to-face to your music.”
Hopefully we will all get to get back to “normal life” soon. In the meantime, listen for Lady Antebellum’s latest single “Champagne Night” on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104.
What is the thing or person you have missed most from “normal life” while under quarantine?
