Garth Brooks and the MLB stepped up to make sure kids don’t go hungry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Players from all 30 MLB teams participated in the “Home Plate Project,” raising just under $1 million for Brooks’ “Teammates for Kids Foundation” and St. Louis’ Adam Wainwright’s “Big League Impact” a non-profit, a charity he leads with Texas Rangers pitcher, Kyle Gibson.
This is the second time Garth and Big League Impact have teamed up for a good cause, last year the two teamed up for another project. “We are grateful for the opportunity to help fill their needs in this most crucial time with this great project,” Wainwright said.
