Iconic singer-songwriter Neil Diamond has adjusted his legendary song “Sweet Caroline” for the current caronavirus crisis.
If you have been to a wedding reception, party with a DJ or a college bar in the past two decades you likely know the words and crowd responses to “Sweet Caroline.”
Sunday (3/22) the music icon posted a video on his YouTube channel. Neil adjusted the lyrics “Hands, touching hands; Reaching out, touching me, touching you” to be “Hands, washing hands; Reaching out, don’t touch me, I won’t touch you.” The adjustment was obviously made to account for social distancing.
