Last night (2/24) was the premiere of season 18 of The Voice. Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and rookie coach Nick Jonas began building their teams.
The new season opened with the Blind Auditions. 41-year-old Todd Tilghman from Meridian, Mississippi was the first to take the stage in season 18. The pastor and father of eight started off the season right by performing Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band’s “We’ve Got Tonight” and getting all four chairs to turn!
Blake was the only coach that did not mention church, but Todd chose him as his coach!
Todd Michael Hall took the stage and performed Foreigner’s “Juke Box Hero.” The 50-year-old from Saginaw, Michigan had a large enough range and sound to motivate both John Legend and Blake Shelton to turn their chairs.
Todd Michael chose to join Team Blake. That gave Blake two members on his team both named Todd.
The night was even among the coaches as all four ended the premiere night with a pair of artists on each of their teams.

The Blind Auditions continue tonight (2/25) on The Voice Season 18 at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
