Mitchell Tenpenny is one of country music’s rising stars. He is ready to get out on tour with Jason Aldean for many reasons.
Jason recently announced he was extending his “We Back Tour” with a summer leg. That 22-city leg includes Mitchell as the opening act before Brett Young and then Jason perform. Mitchell is excited to get to open for a guy he’s watched for a long time.
“I’ve obviously been a huge Jason Aldean fan for such a long time,” he admits, “and just to have the opportunity to go out on tour with Jason … I’ve been to countless Jason shows and seen that and always dreamed of being able to be on stage like that, let alone to actually be out on the road with Jason is just so special.”
His whole crew is pretty excited about this opportunity.
“I know my entire crew is so psyched, this is what you dream of when you start playing music. It’s to get to open up for your peers,” Mitchell shares.
Mitchell knows this is also a great opportunity to connect with many new potential fans. It will let them hear more than just his #1 hit single “Drunk Me.”
“We’re getting to play a lot of shows too, which is great. More than anything, I’m just excited to see what happens,” he says.
Mitchell looks forward to learning from the season veteran of country music as well.
“I just can’t wait to meet Jason, get to meet everybody and have those experiences and those relationships with each other,” He confesses. “I think that is what I am looking forward to the most. Is just getting to hang out with all the crew, see how they do things, watch how their crew works. I always am very inspired by that and I’ve heard from so many people that they have one of the best camps in the entire world.”
Mitchell Tenpenny is looking forward to this summer on the road with Jason Aldean with the chance to play, connect and learn.
“These people that you looked up to and thought ‘Well hey, maybe this is possible’ seeing them. And now, we’re getting that opportunity, which is super special,” he states.
