Reba was born and raised in McAlester, Oklahoma and the town wants to immortalize their most famous daughter.

Tourism coordinator Eddie Gray will present the idea of an 11-foot statue of Reba being created. Cost for the statue, its base, lighting and a walkway leading to the tribute would be $60,000.

Gray feels the cost would be recouped and then some. He believes Reba fans from across the nation would come to see the statue of the country music and entertainment icon.
