Last night (12/16) the final four artists on The Voice performed for America’s votes in the Finals of season 17. The top four performed three times each on the show. They sang a new cover, a Christmas duet with their coach and an original song.
Each coach was represented by a single artist for the finals this season. There is Rose Short for Team Gwen; Jake Hoot for Team Kelly; Katie Kadan for Team Legend and Ricky Duran is the last remaining artist Blake Shelton has on Team Blake.
Ricky performed Tom Petty’s “Runnin’ Down a Dream” for his cover.
Blake and Ricky combined their voices on “Run Rudolph Run” by Chuck Berry for their Christmas duet.
The original song Ricky sang was titled “A Woman Like Her.”
You can watch the other performances from last night’s episode on the official website of The Voice here.
I checked iTunes at just a little past 8 AM central time this morning. Ricky’s original song “A Woman Like Her” was at #1. His duet with Blake “Run Rudolph Run” was at #14 and his cover of “Runnin’ Down A Dream” was at #29.
Will that (and all of his songs from the rest of season) be enough to give Blake Shelton his seventh win as a coach on The Voice?
We will have to watch the Season 17 Finale for The Voice tonight (12/17) starting at 8 PM central time (9 PM eastern time) to find out.
Tonight’s show will include special performances including country stars Luke Combs, Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum among others.
