Last night (10/14) the Blind Auditions ended on season 17 of The Voice and the Battle Rounds began.
All the teams needed a single artist to be completed heading into the episode. 21-year-old Matthew McQueen sang the song “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi for his Blind Audition. Both Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson pressed their buttons for Matthew.
Matthew made the choice to have Blake coach him on the show completing Team Blake.
You can see the rest of the teams and which artist are on them at the official website of The Voice here.
With all the teams full, The Voice launched the Battle Rounds on last night’s episode.
The first Team Blake pairing for this round was 16-year-old Josie Jones and 18-year-old Kat Hammock. Blake gave them John Denver’s iconic song “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” With the help of Blake’s Battle Rounds advisor Darius Rucker the two girls gave a really good performance of the song.
In the end Blake made the tough choice to move forward with Kat Hammock on Team Blake.
The Battle Rounds continue tonight on The Voice Season 17 at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
