Stage one in the 1000Bulbs.com 500 was complete when the rain began to fall at Talladega Superspeedway forcing NASCAR to postpone the rest of the race to Monday … today (10/14).

The first stage of the race did not see the “Big One.” However, it was not without incident either. Ryan Blaney spun his car trying to get on pit road during green flag pit stops.

William Byron battled hard to claim the win in stage one of the race. William held off a hard charging Joey Logano who claimed second place in the stage. The rain came and the race was delayed. You can see the running order when the race is resumed here. The top 10 are cars that earned points for finishing in the top 10 in stage one.

NASCAR will get things back under way at Talladega Superspeedway starting at 1 PM central time (2 PM eastern time) on NBCSN in the 1000Bulbs.com 500.
