Yesterday, October 1st, marked a heartbreaking anniversary for country music fans and their loved ones…the 2 year anniversary of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.
58 people died and more than 400 were wounded while attending the country music festival when a gunman fired into the crowd changing the lives of so many people.
Jason Aldean, who was onstage when the shooting began, acknowledged the moment with a statement on Instagram.
His wife Brittany also shared her thoughts about the tragic day.
And Chris Young, who was watching Route 91 from backstage, has repeatedly referred to the tragedy as the “scariest night of my life.”
To read some of the comments from fans who were also in attendance at the festival, and somehow managed to escape without harm, is very emotional. You can feel their relief that they are alive today, but also their grief that so many others lost theirs.
