Week two of the Blind Auditions began last night (9/30) on season 17 of The Voice.
16-year-old Josie Jones from Hamilton, Alabama is chasing her dreams of being a country singer. Her performance of Julie Roberts’ “Men and Mascara” motivated John Legend to press his button. Blake Shelton turned his chair around a bit later in the performance. Kelly Clarkson throws her opinion out that Josie should pick John. Gwen Stefani indirectly throws her support to Blake. John and Blake then make their pitches.
This video was posted last Friday (9/27) as a sneak peek for Monday’s (9/30) episode. That means it does not show who she picked. Josie in fact chose Blake Shelton as her coach.
The final audition of the night was by Cali Wilson. The 28-year-old Salem, Iowa native that has moved to Nashville chose “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac for her performance. Blake pressed his button with John following a split second later. Gwen also turned her chair shortly after the two guys.
The show ended without revealing who Cali chose as her coach. That will be revealed on tonight’s episode.
Blake ended the night with four artists on Team Blake. Team Legend currently has five artists for John to coach. Kelly has a total of six Team Kelly members. Gwen is leading the way so far this season as she seven Team Gwen members. Find out which artists are on each team at the official website of The Voice here.
Here is a sneak peek at tonight’s episode as 14-year-old Preston C. Howell gets all four coaches to turn with his performance of The Mamas & the Papas’ “Dream a Little Dream of Me.”
Night four of The Voice Season 17 Blind Auditions continue tonight at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
