Well, here’s some news that came out of left field. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Cinematic Universe producer and head boss Kevin Feige has been tapped to produce a Star Wars movie.
Walt Disney Studios’ Alan Horn tells @THR: “Kathy is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together.” https://t.co/nznPrcMmfD

Let’s start with the good news. Kevin Feige has steered the ship of the MCU since it’s inception and there has not been a dud of a movie in the bunch. Not only have all of the MCU movies, for the most part, been well received they have all been extremely profitable. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ is the highest grossing movie of all time.
But have do we have too much Star Wars coming down the pike? There were already plans for separate new trilogies in the Star Wars Universe lead by Game Of Thrones creators D. B. Weiss and David Benioff and ‘Last Jedi’ director Rian Johnson respectively. Now Feige is getting thrown into the mix? That’s a lot of Star Wars, especially coming off ‘Solo’ wasn’t the success Disney was hoping it would be. There might not be enough room for ALL of these film makers in the Star Wars Universe.
As for the timing of when all these movies could be coming to theaters? We could be YEARS away.
