Jermaine Bell spent the past year saving his money with the dream of using it to take a trip to Disney World. However, when Hurricane Dorian smashed up South Carolina, the selfless boy decided the money could be used for a better purpose.
Jermaine purchased bags of chips, hot dogs, and bottled water. He handed the food to more than 100 evacuees in his grandmother’s town near the Atlantic coast at no cost.
Jermaine told reporters, “The people that are traveling to go to other places, I wanted them to have some food to eat, so they can enjoy the ride to the place that they’re going to stay at.”
Jermaine’s seventh birthday was Sunday (9/8). What a birthday surprise he got! The people at Disney heard about the young boy’s selfless act of kindness and decided to reward him.
Mickey Mouse and several friends from Disney World dropped by to blow out the candles and give him an incredible present. The crew for the “Most Magical Place on Earth” presented Jermaine with a VIP getaway for his family at Disney World!
Has your child ever done something selfless like Jermaine?
