Michael Waltrip co-authored a book about his career and relationship with NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr. that has been made into a documentary film.

Michael and Ellis Henican co-authored the NY Times bestselling book In the Blink of an Eye: Dale, Daytona, and the Day that Changed Everything. The book details Michael’s career and his relationship with Dale Sr. both personally and professionally. It also features the day that Michael won the Daytona 500 and lost his friend and mentor in the same race.

Paul Taublieb has directed the documentary Blink Of An Eye film based on that book.

The film will be released in theaters in New York and Los Angeles Friday, September 6th. The film is set to go nationwide the following Thursday, September 12th.
