Kacey Wall and her partner Chris’ dog went missing while out hiking on Vancouver Island earlier this month. The couple spent eight heartbreaking days searching the wilderness of British Columbia for their beloved lost pet.
They even set up a Facebook page called “Find Beira” to get the word out about they lost pet. Fellow park goers and boaters soon joined in to help find the dog, but they weren’t having much luck.
Rather than abandon all hope, the pair hatched up a new plan: cooking bacon … because, “What dog doesn’t LOVE bacon?” as they wrote on Facebook.
Sure enough, on day nine Beira emerged from the brush, eight pounds lighter, but unharmed.
Have you ever used a unique or unconventional way to find a lost pet?
