The country-southern rock band Confederate Railroad has been cancelled from another fair due to their name.
The Hudson Valley Post reports that the band’s concert at the Ulster County Fair in New Paltz, NY has been cancelled due to concerns over their name and logo being racist.
The group previously had their appearance at the DuQuoin State Fair here in Illinois cancelled for the same concerns over their name.
Legendary country-southern rock artist Charlie Daniels showed his support for the band following that first cancellation with the following message on Twitter…
This political correctness thing is totally out of control
When a fair cancels the Confederate Railroad band because of their name its giving in to facism, plain and simple and our freedom disappears piece by piece.
Sick of it.— Charlie Daniels (@CharlieDaniels) July 6, 2019
Do you agree with the decisions these fairs made to drop the shows by Confederate Railroad?
