Thanks to YOU, the 2019 Cop on Top with the Bloomington Police Department raised almost $10,000 for Special Olympics of Illinois! There is still a lot of change to be counted so we will have to see where the final total lands.
Today (6/5/19) from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Sergeants Todd Keil and Bill Wright of the Bloomington Police Department climbed up on the roof of Dunkin’ Donuts on East Oakland in Bloomington to raise awareness and money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics of Illinois. B104 on-air personalities were there to broadcast through the day.
All day people stopped by Dunkin’ Donuts to make donations to Special Olympics. Many people also called the B104 Studios to bid on auction items throughout the day with the money also going to Special Olympics.
On behalf of the Bloomington Police Department, Sergeant Keil, Sergeant Wright, Special Olympics of Illinois, Dunkin’ Donuts, B104 and all who helped with this annual event, Thank You very much for helping make the 2019 Bloomington Cop On Top a complete success!
Just a reminder that the 2019 Law Enforcement Torch Run will culminate with the lighting of the Flame of Hope at the 2019 Special Olympics of Illinois Summer Games Opening Ceremony this Friday evening (6/7) at ISU’s Hancock Stadium. You are invited to come watch the ceremony. Gates open at 7:00 PM and the ceremony beginning 7:30 PM with me (B104’s Buck Stevens) again serving as one of the emcees for the event. Come see the amazing athletes of Special Olympics and how your donations are helping.
Again, Thank You for your generous support of the 2019 Bloomington Cop on Top!
