In the run up to the 2019 NFL Draft, hopeful college football players participate in “Pro Days” at their college campus. They lift weights, run, and jump in front of scouts with the hope of fulfilling their dream of playing in the NFL.
University of Southern California football player Jake Olson has a different dream though. He is raising money to defeat retinoblastoma, the cancer he had as a child that robbed him of his eye sight. To help raise funds, he participated in the bench press portion of USC’s pro day. And he crushed it!
Amazing moment at USC Pro Day. Jake Olson, their blind long snapper, just had 17 reps on the bench press to raise funds for retinoblastoma, which took his eyesight. pic.twitter.com/kSxWZxanAX

Jake’s whole story is quite amazing. He went from a child with cancer who lost his sight to becoming a long snapper on his favorite college football team. You can watch the ESPN feature on him below. To donate to his cause, click HERE.
