I’ll give Marvel this, they know how to stay in the news cycle. Over the weekend, Deadline reported that James Gunn has been re-hired by Disney to direct ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 3’ after being fired from the project a few months ago due to old tweets that resurfaced thanks to internet trolls.

This is great news for fans of the film series as Gunn’s direction is a huge part of the success of Guardians 1 and 2. His return also ensures that actor Dave Bautista, who had publicly threatened to quit the project, will return as well. The cast of the movie, including star Chris Pratt, had been in the director’s corner since he was fired last summer.

Gunn will begin production on ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 3’ after he finishes work on ‘Suicide Squad 2’ according to Deadline.
