We have a Wind Advisory today (3/14) in central Illinois. At least we aren’t dealing with a “bomb cyclone.” That’s what slammed Colorado yesterday!
Winds here at home today will be around 30 MPH with gusts of up to 50 MPH. However, the “bomb cyclone” brought sustained winds of 50 MPH with wind gusts over 70 MPH … that’s hurricane force winds. Add to that heavy snow and the situation was very dangerous for those in the path.
Hopefully everybody weathered the “bomb cyclone” with their health intact and as little damage to property as possible.
