This is super sad news to hear, and to share…the senior dog, Poochie, that Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline adopted just 2 weeks ago has passed away.

Earlier this month, a Nashville rescue posted a photo of an 18 year old shelter dog named Poochie who was looking for a place to live his final days. On February 9th, Luke and Caroline decided they were the family that was going to give Poochie all the love and affection he could get, and they were going to be his forever family.

Unfortunately, Poochie sadly passed away, just 2 weeks after they rescued him.

I’m sure Luke, Caroline, and the kids are completely heartbroken over Poochie’s death, but to know that he spent his final days surrounded by all of the love he always deserved, makes my heart so happy. Instead of passing away alone, in the cold shelter, he was surrounded by a family who would have done anything for him.

#AdoptDontShop is a motto I have always lived by. All my dogs in my adult life have been rescue dogs. If you can give a senior dog a second chance at life, you won’t believe the feeling of gratitude you will receive.
