For the first time in a CENTURY, the ORIGINAL “Sweethearts” candy hearts that have little messages like “Love You,” “Cutie Pie,” and “Be Mine” will not be made this year, and Valentine’s Day won’t be the same…until next year.

The Spangler Candy Co., which bought the Sweethearts brand last year, said they just didn’t have time to produce the billions of candy hearts necessary for the demand this year, but they will back for Valentine’s Day in 2020.

While the original candy hearts will not be available, Brach’s and Sour Patch Kids have apparently rolled out their own versions.
