Okay, now that we have that out of our system, here’s the scoop. According to Business Insider, NBC may eventually pull ‘The Office’ and other popular NBC shows (‘Parks and Rec’ for example) once their own NBC streaming service is up and running in 2020. NBC Universal CEO Steve Burke recently told the Wall Street Journal that they “may” move “The Office” from Netflix once the licensing agreement ends in 2021.
We’ve already seen huge fan blow back when Netflix nearly lost “Friends” and that isn’t even Netflix’s most popular show. That honor, you guessed it, belongs to “The Office”. The streaming giant paid big bucks to keep “Friends”, will they do the same for Michael Scott and The Dunder Mifflin Paper Company?
