Winter weather is set to roll through Illinois Friday night and Saturday bringing snow with it. How much snow will we get here in the Bloomington-Normal area?
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for most of southern Illinois and parts of the central area of the state. However, right now McLean County its bordering counties are not included in that watch.
There are predictions of snow for us though. Snow total predictions for our area from Friday night (1/11) into Saturday evening (1/12) depends on where you look…
National Weather Service: 3 to 7 inches total
Weather Channel App on my Phone: 2 to 6 inches total
AccuWeather.com: 2 to 4 inches total
Illinois Storm Trackers: 4 to 7 inches total
At this point it appears we will get some measurable snow. We will have to wait and see if it is on the higher end of the predictions or the lower end.
Listen to B104 and we will keep you updated on the weather conditions this weekend.
