Carrie Underwood responds to Twitter attack Perfectly

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood is the perfect example of how to be on social media and the best way to respond to an attack as well.

The singer-songwriter takes the best route most of the time … just ignore the social media trolls. They really are not worth the effort to respond. Most of the time their goal is to bring you down to their level so don’t give them the satisfaction.

Sometimes, Carrie does respond to a “mean tweet.” Such was the case this morning. The website eonline.com reports that “the SNF on NBC Twitter account compiled a season-long highlight of commentator Chris Collinsworth’s ‘slide from the right’.”

Apparently, a producer and show-runner at Sports Illustrated named Jessica Smetana saw this as an opportunity to take what looked like a Twitter swipe at Carrie.

This morning Carrie decided to respond to that Tweet. She did it with some spunk and a whole lot of what makes Carrie Underwood who she is … CLASS!

Jessica responded to Carrie and her fans about her original tweet with the following message…

This exchange brings up a point about social media that I feel like everybody should be more aware of. THINK before you TWEET (or post on any social media platform). It really doesn’t matter how you INTENDED the message. The way people read it will be interpreted as they see it. Miss-understandings and hurt feelings can be avoided by using your head before you post something on social media.

Of course that is just my opinion … I could be wrong.
