Last night was the Top 10 Elimination Show on season 15 of The Voice. Two artists were cut from the competition to create the Top 8 for the semifinals next week.
During the one-hour episode there were live performances and the results of America’s voting were revealed.
Blake Shelton‘s Team Blake members Kirk Jay and Chris Kroeze made the semifinals through the overnight voting.
Jennifer Hudson had both of her remaining artists Kennedy Homes and MaKenzie Thomas advance.
Kelly Clarkson heard all three names of her team members; Chevel Shepherd, Sarah Grace and Kymberli Joye, read by Carson Daly as advancing based on votes.
That left both of Adam Levine’s remaining artists DeAndre Nico and Reagan Strange and Team Blake’s Dave Fenley as the bottom three.
Earlier in the show Carson revealed that Reagan was back stage because she had become ill overnight. He explained that she would not be able to perform for the Twitter Save due to her illness, but she was eligible to win it when the time came. Next he introduced Dave Fenley and DeAndre Nico’s performances that you can watch below.
Following DeAndre’s performance Adam said he wanted people to vote for him. However, he said he felt the need to fight to keep Reagan on the show since she wasn’t able to perform and fight for her spot on the show herself. While I understand Adam’s feelings in doing that, in my opinion it was quite insensitive to do that with his other team member standing right there on stage after doing his own performance. That’s just my opinion, I could be wrong.
When the Twitter Save voting window was closed the results were revealed…
Next week’s semifinals Top 8 will include:
From Team Kelly – Chevel Shepherd, Sarah Grace and Kymberli Joye
From Team Blake – Kirk Jay and Chris Kroeze
From Team JHud – Kennedy Homes and MaKenzie Thomas
From Team Adam – Reagan Strange
Monday (12/10) the Top 8 will perform live. Tuesday (12/11) the four finalists will be revealed that will have a chance at winning The Voice Season 15 the following week. Both shows next week start at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
