Carly Pearce has a cat that she named after an iconic country music singer. She got the cat as a Christmas present from her mother three years ago.
“I named her Emmy Lou after Emmylou Harris,” Carly shares, “Because I’m a huge Trio, Dolly. Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou fan.”
What kind of a cat is Emmylou?
“Emmylou is a rag doll cat. That means she’s very fluffy and furry and kind of like a dog, that’s what they say,” Carly says.
As far as personality goes, Emmylou is a cat that wants her space until SHE is ready to cuddle.
“She is spitfire,” Carly confesses. “If any of my friends or anybody’s ever met her, they know she doesn’t want you to get within like, 10 feet of her. But then, when it’s time to cuddle on her terms she’ll come around and she’s sweet. She loves to eat and lay around and she kind of rules the house.”
We have to wonder how Emmylou the cat gets along with Carly’s boyfriend, fellow country music singer-songwriter Michael Ray?
