Miranda Lambert says that going to live concerts is an escape for people.
The superstar country music singer-songwriter knows that people deal will all kinds of stress from day to day. Being entertained in some way is an escape from the problems that come with living life.
“People don’t want to think about it,” Miranda states of the problems of life, “That’s what entertainment is for.”
Getting lost in some kind of entertainment is essential for recharging your internal batteries.
“You don’t go to a movie because you want to sit there through the whole thing and think about everything horrible in your life,” she says, “You go so you can get your mind off of it.”
When people go to her concerts (or any live show for that matter) it is another form of a short escape from life.
“I think people come to concerts because they want to cut loose for two hours of their life; and drink a beer; and listen to music; and just be out of the problems,” Miranda speculates, “Because they have to deal with that seven days a week.”
Miranda just wrapped up a summer of escapes for fans with Little Big Town on the co-headlining “The Bandwagon Tour.” She will be providing a couple of escapes for fans at her two-show Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s “Artist in Residence Shows” Wednesday, Sept. 19th and Wednesday, Sept. 26th.
