Thomas Rhett is one of the biggest names in country music. Charlie Puth is one of the biggest names in pop music. Is there a multi-genre collaboration between these two stars on the way?
Thomas Rhett is not just a singer, he is also one of the best songwriters in country music. That is one of the factors that has helped his star rise as a performer in the industry. Recently the “Life Changes” singer-songwriter spent a week in LA where he spent some time writing with stars from the pop world.
“I got to write with Ryan Tedder from One Republic, which is amazing,” he shares, “and Charlie Puth.”
Getting some time with songwriters from other genres is something the Nashville songsmith enjoys.
“I just love getting to go out in that world and get to experiment just a little bit,” Thomas Rhett states.
What will become of his time writing with these stars from the pop world?
“Hopefully, you know me and Charlie wrote a couple of cool songs together,” Thomas Rhett shares, “So hopefully on this next album, if we find something that we love jointly, then you might see his name on the album.”
Does that mean in the songwriter credits or as a featured artist on a track as well? I guess we will have to wait to find out.
To answer the question at the top of the page, “Is there a Thomas Rhett collaboration with Charlie Puth coming?” The answer would be quite possibly. I for one would love to hear it.
