With Mother’s Day coming this Sunday (5/13) Brett Young has nothing but love and high praise for his mom.
Brett may have just recently been crowned the ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year. He may have a Gold Record with his debut, self-titled album that has produced three #1 singles (“Sleep Without You,” “In Case You Didn’t Know” and “Like I Loved You”) with his fourth single “Mercy” working on being his fourth chart topper out of four singles released as it continues to climb the charts in the top 25 this week.
However, that does not mean that Brett is letting his ego grow. He says that his mom helps keep him inline.
“My mom is one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met,” the country music singer-songwriter states, “she helps keep me in line and grounded.”
Brett says that his mom doesn’t do that by telling him to keep his feet on the ground or slapping his head or anything if he sounds arrogant.
“She doesn’t really have to do anything in order to do that,” Brett shares, “She’s just one of those people that kind of leads by example.”
How does his mom set a good example for Brett?
He says she “has always been one of the most honest, straight and narrow people that I’ve ever met.”
Sounds like Brett Young’s mom knows how to be not just a good mother, but a good person all around.
Happy Mother’s Day to Brett Young’s mom and all of the mothers out there.
