With Mother’s Day this weekend and Father’s Day just around the corner, Sugarland‘s Jennifer Nettles and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line talk about how being a parent changes you.
Jennifer explains how much of an impact her five-year-old son Magnus has had on her own life.
“It is the strangest feeling,” she states. “I will never know again what it is like to be one whole person. I will forever have my heart walking on the outside of my body,” Jennifer confesses, “I will worry for every day of the rest of my life.”
Tyler and his wife Hayley will be experiencing their first Mother’s and Father’s Days as parents with their now four-month-old daughter Olivia Rose. The two new parents have been finding out what a joy a child is to your life.
“Literally like waking up to a little miracle every day. She’s so happy and smiling and she’s kind of the light of our life,” Tyler says. However, he does confess it is also a learning process, “It’s been cool to learn how to become parents with Hayley and I just kind of taking on that role. I think it was time for the next chapter of life. It just feels really good.”
Happy Mother’s Day to Jennifer, Hayley and all the moms out there! Happy Early Father’s Day in a handful of weeks to Tyler and all the dads out there.
