Kacey Musgraves loves the WalMart Yodeling Boy in the viral video and loves that he is getting so much attention.
Perhaps you are one of the millions of people who have seen the viral video of the young Mason Ramsey singing the iconic song “Lovesick Blues” by Hank Williams and doing a great job of yodeling throughout the performance. If not, watch it below.
Country music singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves is one who saw and absolutely loved it. She is also very happy for Mason and the attention he is getting for the viral video.
“To see 2018 react to yodeling boy like this gives me so much life,” Kacey says. “I can’t tell you how many times I felt like such a nerd for doing that same thing. And to see him getting love from everyone from Post Malone to Ellen to Justin Bieber. I mean, it’s so incredible.”
Kacey posted a video of herself when she was young yodeling that you can see below.
Mason got to perform his version of the classic country song, yodels and all, on the Grand Ole Opry last Saturday night (4/14) and that made Kacey quite proud to hear, “He’s a great singer, he has a great yodel. And, I love that he came and was on the Opry, ’cause I love when I get to see classic country have a moment on the Opry again. And [it’s] amazing that it’s, you know, from a young boy.” You can watch that Grand Ole Opry performance in the video at the bottom of the page.
Perhaps Kacey will do a little yodeling when she appears as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live May 12th.
