Thomas Rhett‘s latest single “Marry Me” is the #1 song this week on the country radio airplay singles charts and it is marking some major career milestones for him.
The advanced Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles charts show “Marry Me” in the number one position for this week.
“Marry Me” is the third single from Thomas Rhett’s latest album Life Changes. It is his third studio album and his only #1 album and is available everywhere now. Not only is the song the third single from the album, all three have hit the top of the charts. “Craving You” featuring Maren Morris was the debut chart topper form the project followed by the solo #1 song “Unforgettable.”
“Marry Me” also marks Thomas Rhett’s fourth consecutive chart topper. The singer-songwriter also now has ten career number one singles at country radio with this song.
In fact, Thomas Rhett has released a total of 13 singles to radio starting in 2012 and “Marry Me” is his 10th career #1 single. Only his first two singles and one other have not reached the top of the charts for country radio airplay. That means 10 of his last 11 singles have been number one songs.
To put in the perspective of time, starting with his first #1 single “It Goes Like This” in 2013 Thomas Rhett has now had at least one #1 single six years in a row including this 2018 chart topper. He has had two chart toppers in four of those six years with time yet this year to make it five out of six years.
Those facts make it easy to see why Thomas Rhett is the reigning ACM Male Vocalist of the Year and nominated again for that award was well as five others in the upcoming 53rd ACM Awards Sunday, April 15th.
Congratulations to Thomas Rhett on his tenth #1 single “Marry Me.”
