Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina got together with other country music industry people to celebrate their #1 song “What Ifs.”
The song was Kane’s first trip to the top of the country radio airplay charts and the second time Lauren saw her name next to a song in the top spot on the charts.
Kane said to those gathered to celebrate his first chart topping single, “It feels amazing. You know, I feel like Nashville finally let me in and country radio finally let me in. It’s just one of the goals that I’ve been searching for and I finally got it.”
Lauren said of the number one collaboration with her long-time friend, “I love Kane, I’ve known him a really long time. And it just was a natural fit and they wrote the heck out of it. It was just a good song and good songs tell their stories in their own way. And it just kinda rose to the top the way it should of. I got lucky, I just got to be a part of it.” Kane quickly added, “No, we got lucky.”
The people attending the celebration included country music artist Ryan Hurd and Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley also being spotted in the crowd.
Kane and Lauren have known each other since high school and were both in choir together. The friends were surprised at the number one party when their choir teacher from high school “Mr. G” showed up to celebrate with them…
