Blake Shelton did an interview with NBC Sports leading up to Super Bowl LII last Sunday (1/4). What new twist did he reveal for season 14 of The Voice?

Last week we discussed what we saw that was different in the promo video the hit singing competition reality show released including new coach Kelly Clarkson and the re-designed rotating chairs.

Since the Super Bowl was on NBC this year, the same network as The Voice, it makes sense that they would use some of the broadcast time leading up to the game to promote other shows on the network.

In the video posted at the bottom of the page Blake discusses the new season, Kelly as a new coach, Trace Adkins as his team’s advisor and how he feels like that, “this is one of the best seasons we’ve started so far” based on what they have pre-recorded for the early stages of the competition.

During the interview there is a short clip of the show played where we see that Adam Levine is “Blocked” during a Blind Audition. This is something new! I can’t wait to find out what the whole “Block” thing is for this season.

Blake also talks in the interview about his beloved Arizona Cardinals NFL team and what he thinks will get them to the big game next season.

Season 14 of The Voice begins Monday, February 26th on NBC. That is when we will find out about the new twist on this season, the “Block.”
