Carrie Underwood had a run in with the police Monday night (1/29) that left her embarrassed.
The country music superstar singer-songwriter spread the news of her predicament via her Twitter account after it happened.
She posted, “Well, it happened today. After 18 years, I can no longer say I’ve never been pulled over for speeding.”
The first time violator was apparently embarrassed by the incident as the message continued, “I feel so ashamed! I may or may not have cried in my car after the cop let me go. #RuleFollower #GrannyDriver #ImSorry”
While it is not completely clear if she got a ticket or a warning, I would bet on the latter. Here’s why I think she just got a warning…
#1 – Her message includes the phrase “after the cop let me go,” it didn’t say, “after the cop wrote me a ticket.”
#2 – Apparently this is the first time she has ever been stopped for speeding which means she has a spotless driving record.
#3 – The cop found out the driver was America’s Country Music Sweetheart CARRIE UNDERWOOD! I mean, come on!!!
I would be willing to bet that Carrie Underwood will never get stopped for speeding again because she will never speed again.
