Jake Owen has teamed with Florida Governor Rick Scott to help the victims of Hurricane Irma in his home state of Florida.
The devastating storm has caused multi-millions of dollars of damage to the Sunshine State. The people of Florida will be working to recover from losing so much for many years to come. Jake was concerned about his fellow Floridians and reached out to the governor right after the storm to find out how he could best help the victims.
The result of that connection is a campaign called “Bring Back the Sunshine,” where 100 percent of the funds raised will go toward disaster-related response and recovery efforts through the Florida Disaster Fund.
“I want to help my fellow Floridians any way I can and there is so much work to be done right now,” Jake says of his involvement with the campaign. “I’m thankful that Florida has such a great leader like Governor Rick Scott. We talked on the phone and we are joining efforts with Volunteer Florida in a campaign called ‘Bring Back The Sunshine.'”
