The Cadillac Three has decided to get their music out to fans as soon as possible by releasing albums at a faster pace.
The trio’s debut, self-titled album was released April 17, 2012. Their sophomore album Bury Me in My Boots wasn’t released until more than four years later, August 5, 2016. However, their third album now follows just over a year from the second album. Legacy will drop this Friday, August 25, 2017.
The faster pace between projects is something Jaren Johnston, Kelby Ray, and Neil Mason decided their fans deserved.
“You know, bands are supposed to go be bands, put out records and go tour. That’s what we want to go do,” Jaren explains, “And we wanna make sure that our fans that have supported us for so long, you know, are getting the music and the content that they deserve on a timely basis.”
He reveals as soon as Bury Me in My Boots was released the trio got to work on album number three, “We literally as soon as we put that last record out, we just started going back in the studio and just started working on it.”
The three musicians really didn’t tell anybody what they were doing, they just got to work for the fans. “[We] did it all ourselves, didn’t tell anybody, produced it, wrote it and kinda sang a lot of it on the back of the bus,” Jaren confesses.
This Friday (8/25) we will all get to hear the new project Legacy from The Cadillac Three when the album drops. Perhaps the title of the album is why they decided to accelerate the release of their albums. Ultimately a musical act’s “Legacy” is the music they record and put of for the public to enjoy.
We will also get the chance to hear both the old and new music live when The Cadillac Three joins headliner Lee Brice as well as Ben Gallaher and Lewis Brice for a big concert at the Corn Crib in Normal, Illinois Saturday, September 9th. Get complete concert and ticket details here.
