Shania Twain is going to try her hand at acting as she is part of the cast for a new John Travolta racing movie that will come out in 2018.
Shania has cemented her name in the music industry over the past couple of decades. Now she is going to make her acting debut in a movie called Trading Paint.
Travolta will star in the film as “Sam” a “down-and-out dirt track racing legend.” When his son “Cam” (played by Toby Sebastian) joins a competitor’s racing team, “Sam” returns to racing. The father and son battle intensifies to the point of resentment and danger off and on track.
Shania’s character is named “Becca.” IMDb doesn’t give any more information about her role in the film.
Shooting for the film began this week in Alabama and will continue through mid-September at several locations in the state.
In addition to Shania, Travolta and Sebastian the film will include actors Michael Madsen and Kevin Dunn among others. The movie is scheduled for release in June of 2018.
It will be interesting to see how big of a role Shania actually has in the film and see how she does in her first appearance on the silver screen.
