Brett Eldredge debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart with his new self-titled project.

According to Country Aircheck the new album sold over 36,000 copies in the first week of release to make it the top selling country album of the week. That publication also states that the project made its debut at the top of the Billboard 200 all-genre chart. However, Billboard.com shows Brett with a #2 debut on the all-genre chart. The project also scored over 45,000 with track and streaming equivalents.

This is the second number one album for the Illinois native. Brett’s sophomore album titled after his home state Illinois also hit #1. His debut studio album Bring You Back and his Christmas album Glow both hit the number two spot on the Billboard Country Album sales chart.

Brett says that making the new project a self-titled album added some pressure to produce a great album, “I put the pressure on and just put my name on it. I love pressure when it makes ya, you know own up to it and put it out there and go sing it everywhere and tell that story and so, we titled it Brett Eldredge.”

Congratulations to Brett Eldredge on the #1 debut for his new, self-titled album!
