Dustin Lynch has learned so much from Brad Paisley on tour and even a long time before that.

Dustin is one of the special guests along with Chase Bryant and Lindsay Ell on Brad’s U.S. leg of his “Weekend Warrior World Tour” which also includes dates in Canada and Europe.

Dustin does what most opening acts do while on tour, watches the headliner to see what can be learned from an artist that has been doing it longer. However, Dustin reveals that he has been learning from Brad much longer than since he joined his tour.

“Brad is, believe it or not, he’s like one of the guys that I learned to play guitar, you know, to his records,” Dustin reveals, “I don’t know if that makes him feel old or not, but that’s the honest truth.”

Dustin shares that he has been following Brad’s career from the very start, “His first couple of albums…man, I was following him around.”

Now being a supporting act on stage with the artist that inspired him to chase his own dreams is an honor to Dustin.

“Actually, I remember seeing Brad at the Bluebird Café as a writer, you know,” Dustin shares, “To be touring with that guy … you know … I would say one of the first dozen songs I learned on guitar was one of his … is super cool.”

As much as I know Brad Paisley loves country music as a whole, I’m sure he is just as honored that he is helping shape and secure the future of the genre by teaching the future superstars of country music.

Brad Paisley’s “Weekend Warrior World Tour” with special guest Dustin Lynch, Chase Bryant and Lindsay Ell will make a stop just down the road from us here in Bloomington-Normal at the 2017 Illinois State Fair in Springfield Sunday, August 13th. Find out where else the tour will stop here.
