Darius Rucker has reached the #1 spot on the country radio singles charts with his latest single “If I Told You.”

The advance singles charts for Billboard Country Radio Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck show the country music singer/songwriter in the number one spot for this week.

While Darius is a songwriter himself, this song is not one he wrote himself. “You know that song was brought to me and I fell in love with it the first time I heard the demo,” he admits.

Darius explains what it is about the song that made him fall in love with it, “It’s one of the most real songs I’ve ever been a part of. It’s so real I mean, how many of us want to sit down and say to that person we’re dating, ‘This is who I am. I know all the good stuff you like about me, but let me tell you about all that deep dark stuff that nobody ever wants to talk about.’ Watching it resonate with people has just been so awesome.”

The song is the lead single from Darius’ fifth solo studio album that does not have a title or release date yet. It is his eight #1 song as a solo, country artist.
