Blake Shelton will play a concert at Soldier Field Saturday, July 1st as part of the Department of Defense Warrior Games.

The Warrior Games provides events for wounded Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and SOCOM athletes to compete in in Paralympic-style competitions across Chicago from June 30th – July 8th. Approximately 250 seriously wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans will participate in the competition.

The organization’s Mission Statement reads, “The Warrior Games exist to provide an opportunity for athletes to grow physically, mentally and spiritually from the sportsmanship and camaraderie gained by representing their respective service teams in a friendly and spirited competition. It is an opportunity for athletes to showcase their enduring warrior spirit in the presence of their families and a grateful nation.”

Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson will come together for a concert at Soldier Field as part of the Warrior Games Opening Ceremony & Concert. Tickets go on sale for the concert Tuesday, June 6th through Ticketmaster.com & by phone at 800-745-3000.
