Join B104 as we take a moment to remember true American Heroes on this Memorial Day Weekend.
It is said so often that sometimes I feel like we have become desensitized to it … the Freedom that Americans enjoy every day comes at a price. We should really never forget that and it should always be something that we Americans hold deeply in our hearts.
Even more, the men and women who made the choice to be willing to pay that price for Freedom should be held deep in our hearts and put at the top of the list of the most honored among true American Heroes.
These men and women made the selfless choice to serve in our military to protect the United States of America and our way of life from any threat, anywhere, at any time.
They knew that making that choice could require them to pay the ultimate price and with that knowledge stepped forward knowing that fact.
To those men and women who serve out Country and make it home, your sacrifice is something we can never say Thank You enough for.
To those men and women who came home broken and battered from your service, I pray that your wounds will heal and you find the strength from your fellow Americans to live a full and happy life.
To those men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice and paid the highest cost of Freedom … Thank You will never be enough. Your sacrifice is something most people cannot even imagine. The courage you embodied in situations that would make the average person run away is something that all should hold in the highest regard. You are true American Heroes and in the hearts of the true patriotic Americans that live with the Freedom that you paid for you will always be loved and remembered.
I found the video at the top of the page online. It was posted a year ago (May 25, 2016), but it is one of the best Memorial Day Tribute videos I personally have seen.
In the video we hear some timeless words from Ronald Reagan, the 40th president of the United States of America, that should resonate not just this weekend, but every day through the hearts of Americans everywhere.
Whatever you are doing this Memorial Day Weekend, take a moment to say Thank You to the men and women of the military and take a moment to remember the men and women who paid the ultimate price for the Freedom that Americans enjoy.
