The US Army Field Band known as the Six String Soldiers shared a video of them paying their respects to their fallen comrades for the Memorial Day Holiday.
The Six String Soldiers are a four-member acoustic group performing Americana, folk, bluegrass, and Irish music to strengthen the ties between the Army and civilian populations at home and abroad according to their Facebook page.
The group consists of MSG Peter Krasulski (Bass), SFC Glenn Robertson (Bass/Drums), SFC Tom Lindsey (Banjo) and SSG Brandon Boron (Guitar/Vocals). SFC James Little is the Video/Audio Engineer for the group while SFC Marc Purinton serves as Operations for the group.
Yesterday (5/24) the group posted a video to their Facebook page that has gone viral. The Six String Soldiers went to a military cemetery to pay respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the United States of America.
While on the hallowed ground the soldiers placed American Flags at some graves and played a great version of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” to honors their comrades that have the honor of being laid to rest at the cemetery.
The video has already received over 4.7 million views and have been shared on Facebook over 13,000 times.
