Last night (4/24) the Top 12 on The Voice Season 12 performed knowing that who stays and who goes is now 100% in America’s hands.
That’s right, the season has reached the point where the votes alone decide which artists advance. There are no more saves or steals from the coaches.
The Top 12 prepared for the performances with not only their coach, but also Shania Twain served as a key adviser to the artists. Plus, for the first time ever on The Voice there was a fifth chair added so that Shania could be there as the artists performed live and she was able to give them (and the voting public) her opinions on the performances.
Every season I look at the iTunes sales of the performances to see if they can give us some insight as to which artists will advance on the show. I will again (as I do every season) remind you that this is just one of a few methods of voting, so the actual results of the voting could be vastly different from the iTunes ranking/sales. Additionally, I have checked the iTunes ranks at 8:40 AM central time and voting does not close until 11 AM central time (12 PM eastern time) which means even these iTunes ranks can change.
I am posting the performances of the Top 12 below in the order that they are ranked in iTunes when I checked…
(iTunes Rank-Name-Team)
#6 – Brenley Brown – Team Gwen
#9 – Lauren Duski – Team Blake
#13 – Hunter Plake – Team Gwen
#21 – Chris Blue – Team Alicia
#29 – Vanessa Ferguson – Team Alicia
#33 – Stephanie Rice – Team Alicia
#36 – Jesse Larson – Team Adam
#41 – TSoul – Team Blake
#49 – Aliyah Moulden – Team Blake
#58 – Troy Ramey – Team Gwen
#87 – Lilli Passero – Team Adam
Mark Isaiah – Team Adam (Not in Top 100 at time I checked iTunes)
Based on the iTunes sales Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys‘ three artists could all be safe from elimination and Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine may not be. However, again I remind you that there are other forms of voting that could change the picture completely.
That means we will all have to watch the Live Results Show of The Voice tonight st 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) to find out which artists advance from America’s votes and which are the ones that could be eliminated and need the Twitter Save to remain on the show.
