The second night of the Knockout Rounds took place last night (4/4) on season 12 of The Voice. What happened with Blake Shelton and Team Blake?
The episode was only an hour long, so there wasn’t a lot of Knockout Round battles. However, a lot happened with Blake in that short time frame.
To begin with, he paired TSoul with Enid Ortiz for this head-to-head competition. Enid chose to perform the song “When We Were Young” by Adele. It was an emotionally charged performance as you can see in the video below.
TSoul picked the classic Otis Redding song “These Arms Of Mine” for his performance. The soul singer sang the lyrics with conviction and punctuated them with some pretty slick moves throughout the song that you can watch in the video below.
Blake ultimately decided to move to the live rounds with TSoul remaining on his team.
Blake’s girlfriend Gwen Stefani paired he 14-year-old pop singer Aaliyah Rose with the 15-year-old young country singer she stole from Team Blake in the Battle Rounds Brennley Brown. Aaliyah performed the song “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” by Meghan Trainor. You can see that she did a great job on the song by watching the video below.
Brennley took on Kelly Clarkson’s song “Up To The Mountain.” She really did an amazing job earning a comment from Adam Levine afterwards that it had a “Grammy performance” quality. Decided for yourself by watching the video below.
Gwen chose to keep Brennley on her team as she moves toward the live shows on The Voice.
Gwen was giving Aaliyah a hug goodbye when Blake pressed his button to use his “Steal” bringing the young pop singer to Team Blake for the live shows.

Blake wasn’t done on TV last night after the episode of The Voice. He appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon during late night TV. You can check that appearance out here.
